Essay on Compression in Lit Hub

Here's an essay on compression titled "Notes on My Literary Minimalism: Carol Guess Considers Subtraction, In Writing and In Life." I wanted to explore how my spare aesthetic might be linked to moving frequently as a child, and to valuing emotional connections over material possessions. Lit Hub changed my original title, which was "Tiny Boxes, Teeming," based on the compression workshop I taught recently at Open Books. Enjoy!
